Completion of Lifting of Core Turbine Components for Unit 5
The three core turbine equipment of Unit 5 at Masinloc Power Plant Expansion Project in the Philippines have been accurately lifted into position, including the 277-ton generator stator, 333-ton low-pressure cylinder and 151-ton high-medium pressure cylinder. Construction of Unit 4 and Unit 5 proceeds in parallel.
These heavy components pose great construction challenges. Drawing on experience from Unit 4, the team developed a dedicated lifting plan. Chinese and local crews collaborated closely with strict safety management and certified operators to complete the lifting successfully.
The installation of turbine core components lays a solid foundation for subsequent boiler erection, hydrostatic tests and unit commissioning. The project team will uphold strict quality and safety standards to advance construction and ensure scheduled operation.
